Lee, Krystle, Natalie, MichealValerie, Bill and Murt: My sincerest condolensces--Hardy was such a knowledgeable and talented Holstein enthusiast and in spite of his challenges was always kind and upbeat when I had any occassion to talk or meet him--in fact just recently(over the past 3 weeks) we had talked several times regarding embryos, donor cows and the future of genomics. Hardy had bought and developed some of the best cows and bulls in teh Holstein industry world wide--something to be very prooud of--the picture in my mind will always be Bob and Hardy on the auction block selling! My condolences to the Shore family at this time. Hardy's contribution to the dairy industry will be felt for many generations. He was a brilliant student of the Holstein breed and proved it through his success in breeding some of the industry's most influential animals. Hardy along with his father, Bob, were two of the best auctioneers in the business. May he rest in peace.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Hardy was one of a kind, and talented beyond words. Unbeknownst to Hardy, his life's work would end up touching so many people around the world. He was one of the best Auctioneers I ever had the privilege to work with. He possessed one of the most natural talents in breeding the very best cattle that we have today- ADEEN, ALICIA, and the bulls that carry the SHORMAR name come to mind. I will miss talking with him. I am very proud to have called him a friend....you should be very proud that he was your Dad, son, brother and nephew.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Shore family, Hardy is someone who taught so much to so many of us in the industry. I started learning from Hardy at a fairly young age when he took a chance on two young guys and agreed to co-manage the Canadian Spring Sensation Sale with us. Knowledge learned in that sale, is still used today. Over the years, Hardy influenced so many - both through his outstanding breeding program and through his marketing strategies. In his prime, Hardy was definitely the world's best auctioneer. Despite challenges, he always persevered and his brilliance was always apparent. Two years ago, Hardy called me, persistent with his invitation to come for a visit. During that visit, he talked to me about some challenges he was facing... even then, his talent shone through when he insisted we go see a bred heifer. That heifer turned out to be the 2nd place Jr 3 year old at World Dairy Expo in 2013- Abrianna. More recently, he came to visit me about three weeks ago. He was very complimentary and optimistic about the future. Hardy will missed by us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Janet and I were indeed fortunate to have known Hardy Shore - "cowman extraordinary". His legacy in the cattle business will be remembered for years to come. He was a man whose handshake you could trust and he became a valued friend - our hearts are heavy. His telephone calls and visits will be sadly missed. To all members of the Shore family we extend our deepest sympathy. God bless Hardy and may he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Shore family. Susan "Susie" Krhovsky-Hoffman posted a condolence
Mrs Shore, I don't know if you remember me or my family, but I grew up in Michigan on a holstein farm. My family became friends with Bobs father and mother many years ago. Through the family friendship, my three older sisters were guest at the Shore Farms several times. Later in years when I was old enough I too was an invited guest with the Shore family. It was at that time, which I became aquatinted with your son Hardy. He was such a vibrant, dashing, full of fun, type of gentleman. He would just light up a room when he walked in with his smile and personalty. It has been many years since I have communicated with Hardy in person, although we were friends for quite some time on Facebook and we were next door neighbors giving one another gifts on Farmville :) It saddens me to read of the passing of Hardy and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of the family. It is comforting to know that he is now an angel up in heaven looking down and protecting his loved ones. RIP Hardy, Susie

My sincere condolences to the Shore family on your loss. Hardy was a true gentleman and supported and encouraged me throughout the 1990s when I first started out in the dairy genetics business. Like many breeders in the UK at that time Hardy sold me some of our first elite Holstein heifers and embryos. He was always a friend as well as a business partner who would go the extra mile to help. Only days before the sad news we had been reminiscing about the wonderful Christmas party we attending following the Agram farms Dispersal and the great hospitality of Hardy and your family. He will be sorely missed.
