Obituary of Susan Christine Humphrey

Susan Humphrey Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, November 16, 2014 Susan Christine Humphrey of Lambeth at the age of 65 years went to be with her Lord. Beloved wife for 30 years of Brian Humphrey of Lambeth. Loving sister-in-law of Paul and Faye Humphrey of Mississauga. Dear cousin of Shirley and Rex Scott and Family of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Pastor Ross and Jennifer Gerber and Family of Sturgis, Michigan, Rev. Neil and Beth Elford and Family of Kingston, Ont., Joy Colley, Richard and Mary Livermore and Moira and Chris Murray, all of England, Lynn and Bill Clark and Family of London, Dorothy Humphrey and Family of London, Bob and Carol Humphrey and Family of Peterborough. Loved by Janet Humphrey of London and her son Andrew Humphrey of B.C. Dear friend of Janet Bowyer of Beaverton, The Hodgins Family of Parkhill, the Duncan Family of Sault Ste. Marie, and the Freeman and Quarrie Families of London and her special friend for over 40 years Mary Collier of London. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Moyra Eby. Aside from her relatives and dear friends, Susan had another very special family, her Westview Baptist Church family and especially her small group; Wendy Toth, Sheetal and Mark Woods, Patti O’Hara, Sharon Griffiths, Sandy Hastings and Marjorie Quinney. Over the years Susan had more than her fair share of trials which is why she had such empathy for others who were in distress. She had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus, which governed her life. She was a loving and devoted wife; a kind and gentle friend who always had a listening ear and an encouraging word. She was loved perhaps more than she knew. Susan is receiving her reward in Heaven now. She is no longer with us, but she shall always remain here, in our hearts. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Saturday from 7-9 pm. The celebration of Susan’s life will be held at Westview Baptist Church, 1000 Wonderland Rd., S., London on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Reverend Jim McGee officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2-3 pm. Interment Woodland Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Arthritis Society gratefully acknowledged.
