Obituary of Gertrude May Burtwistle

Gertrude Burtwistle Peacefully at Elgin Manor on Monday, February 9, 2015, Gertrude (Graham) (McCallum) Burtwistle, formerly of Lambeth in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Burtwistle (2009). Loving mother of Donna and Lorne McLeod, Dianne McCallum, Mary Lou Burtwistle-Bennett and Dwight, and Jay and Elizabeth Burtwistle. Proud grandmother of Ryan (Melanie) McLeod, Cindy (Mike) Merifield, Shannon McLeod ( Andrea Toth), Jodi (Matt) Austin, Wesley, Alta and Evan Bennett, Carson, Ian, Emily and Benjamin Burtwistle and 4 great grandchildren Owen and Myles Austin, Noah Merifield and Nathan McLeod. Dear sister of Alex Graham (Betty), Don Graham and Duncan Graham. Survived by many nieces nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her sisters in law Doris, Aura and Ester Graham, Mary Drennan and Jean Parsons. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the celebration of Gertrude’s life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11 am. Interment McArthur Cemetery, Southwold at a later date. Donations to the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario or the C.C.A.C. gratefully acknowledged.
