Edgar Gordon May
Surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital in London on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, Mr. Edgar Gordon May, of London in his 86th year.
Ed was the beloved husband of the late Thelma “Casey” May. Loving father to his daughters Wendy (Bob Fraser), Mary (the late Rob McFarlane), and Elizabeth (Darrell Pringle); and proud grandfather of Heather (Kevin), Maggie (Dave), Emma (Marten), Molly (Steph), Colleen (Matthew), Matthew (Angela), Ben, Erica, and great grandchildren Robin, Peregrine, Jacqui, Lilly, Evelyn, Sadie, Piper, Callista and Russell. Predeceased by his great grandchildren Gabriel and Grace. Ed is also survived by his loving sister Joan Parkinson and his nieces and nephews.
Ed was born in Huntsville, Ontario to F. Gordon and Edna May, March 3, 1929. He had a successful career with Ontario Hydro where he held positions in Huntsville, Uxbridge, Elliot Lake, Kapuskasing and Guelph. He was always up for adventure, but most enjoyed hiking, camping and canoe tripping in Algonquin Park with Thelma and his family.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1pm from St. George's Presbyterian Church, 1475 Dundas Street, London, Ontario, N5W 3B8.
