Obituary of Mary (May) Ferguson Hann
~~Mary Ferguson Hann
It is with sadness, that we announce the passing of Mary (May) Ferguson Hann on Monday, September 4, 2017, in her 92nd year. Cherished by her children, Susan (Tom) Grieve and Carrie Hann. May was the beloved grandma of Julie (Jeremy) Ludwig and Lisa Grieve and the doting great-grandma of Isaac and Adelaide Ludwig. May is also survived by her sisters, Margaret McLeod and Betty Favell.
May was born in Bellshill, Scotland but spent much of her teens in Glasgow where they lived during the war. She emigrated to Canada in 1949 with her family and while she became a proud Canadian; she never forgot her Scottish roots. She took up Scottish country dancing at the age of 73 and continued until she was 88. Family, however, was the centre of her world as she was happiest when spoiling her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
