Obituary of Lucy Billings

Lucy Adeline Billings Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015, Lucy Adeline Billings (Davidson) of London in her 95th year. Beloved wife and best friend for 36 years of the late Grant “Curly” Billings (Dec. 10, 2007). Doting big sister of Jean Nash. Loving Aunt Lou to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James M. Davidson and Isabella Gatt Davidson (Ritchie), her 2 brothers, her 4 sisters and her dear friend Betty. Although Lucy didn’t have children of her own, she was like a mother to her sister Jean and fulfilled that role to many great nieces and nephews who share many fond memories. Lucy began working at the age of 16 and retired when she married Grant at the age of 52. Lucy loved gardening; her time spent with friends and was very independent, living in her own home until recently. Friends may visit the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road S., London, Ontario, (519) 652-2020 on Tuesday, December 8th, from 10 … 11 a.m. where the celebration of Lucy’s life will commence at 11:00 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
