Walter Maks
Peacefully with family by his side, at Victoria Hospital, on Monday, April 2, 2018, Walter Maks of Lambeth, Ontario in his 82nd year. Cherished husband of May for 57 years. Adored father of Dr. Valerie Maks (Steve) and Lisa Maks (Peter). Proud Papa of Mark and Ariana. Predeceased by his parents George and Katrina, his sister Jenny and brother-law Frank Evans. Dearly missed by his extended family.
After graduating from Ryerson and the University of Western Ontario, Walter spent a full career as a professor at Fanshawe College and dearly loved his profession. Walter lived a very full and productive life and was a world traveller, always kept active with sailing, square dancing, ice skating, lawn bowling, model airplanes and had a thirst for new experiences. He so enjoyed his years at the cottage in Ipperwash. He will be dearly missed, but left a legacy of kindness, adventurous spirit and generosity that will live on in those whose lives he touched.
