Obituary of Iris Isabelle Julia Gilbert

Iris Gilbert

Peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Iris (Thompson) Gilbert of St. Thomas in her 94th year.  Beloved wife of the late George T.A. Gilbert (2008).  Loving mother of Iris and her husband Allen Harlow of Nova Scotia, Frances and her husband Leslie Taber of London and Margaret Dalby of St. Thomas.  Proud grandmother of Andy, Karen, Nancy, Robert, LeeAnn, Mike, Dawn, Kelly and Jenn.  Also loved by all her 10 wonderful great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Survived by her sister-in-law Anne Thompson.  Predeceased by her brother Weston Thompson. 

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 12-1 pm where the Celebration of Iris’s life will be held at 1 pm.  Father Patrick Byrne officiating.  Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Donation to St. Hilda’s St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 185 Elm Street, St. Thomas, Ontario, N5R 1J4 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
