I send sincere condolences to Mary's family..Most of the Laidlaw family were patients at the Dental Office in London where I was their Dental Hygienist..I developed a great fondness for Mary..She was a very gracious lady..The schoolteacher remained a part of Mary's identity for life..I loved her quick wit and her wonderful smile..Rarely does one meet ladies like Mary today..The Laidlaw family has been so fortunate to have Mary as their matriarch for these many years..Please know that I will remember all of you in my thoughts and in my prayers as you grieve and celebrate the life of Mary Laidlaw..Blessings to all, Dawn Cumming.

We extend sincere condolences to Mary's family. We have many fond memories of Mary (and Wallace) through our mutual involvement in the Middlesex Wardens Association. She was a remarkable woman who accomplished much in her lifetime and served as a wonderful role model.

We are sending our caring thoughts and prayers to the family of Mary. She was a very special person in our lives. Mary was a leader in 4-H when I (Carol) was participating in 4-H and also when I was a Leader. So friendly and she always enjoyed working with the young people. She was an excellent mentor to all of us.
Ernie remembers all the meals and great visits he had at the farm when working for ROP. He says she was a very distinguished lady and always had great memories and stories of family and the farming community. At her 100th birthday party, Ernie could not get over how she knew who he was right as soon as she saw him.
Our sympathies to all of you. Remember those great memories, so special.
Blessings
Ernie and Carol Reid

It was with great sadness that my wife Ann and I heard of Aunt Mary's passing. Goodness, she lived a long and productive life. I only have the greatness memories of Aunt Mary and Uncle Wallace. When I was young, Joe and Alma (my folks) and my sisters Liz and Lynne would pile into the car, to visit for a weekend at the farm. Being a city lad, I enjoyed the farm the most. My Dad might help with haying or chores and I got to get into as much trouble as I could. Aunt Mary and my Mom were my nurses whether it was just a scrape or a broken arm. I remember harvest feasts in the small farm kitchen. There was no room to move about as there were so many at the table. Aunt Mary had a huge smile and enjoyed seeing our plates empty and hearing requests for more please. George and Rick had go-carts that were used 'around and about' the little orchard. "Bobby," said Aunt Mary, "do not hurt yourself!" It was a challenge "Only a little sore bruise, Aunt Mary, but I saw a snake with a bunch of babies." "Do not get too close to the Holstein bull!" Another challenge - their bull kept me away.
I joined the RCMP in 1972 and I believe that Aunt Mary and Uncle Wallace were most pleased that I was about to take on serious civic duties. They gifted me an electric Boot Polisher. Myself and one other recruit had one. I shared mine with fellow recruits and to this day, I continue to use it.
Rick called the other day to see if I would be a pall bearer - what an honour to say fare thee well to a great lady.
