Obituary of Patricia Walch

F. Patricia Walch (nee McCorquodale)

Pat loved to travel, but her journey on earth ended surrounded by people who loved her on August 17, 2019, shortly following her 78th birthday. Despite living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 44 years, she was still able to visit at least 29 countries, more than half of the states in the US and travelled across Canada from coast to coast on 5 different occasions. She knew Ontario like the back of her beautiful hands, always enjoying those “2 dollar tours”. She also spent 106 days at sea. Patsy Corki’s modes of travel were numerous - horse, car, truck, bus, plane, train, ship, helicopter and her trusty old 1957 MGA.  Pat leaves behind best friend and husband of 55 years Rae, and two caring and loving daughters, Patrice of Oakville and Raellen and husband Jeff of London, four amazing grandchildren, Alex, Abby, Amanda and Sean, sister Dianne and husband Rollie, 2 sisters in law, nieces, nephews, many cousins and loads of friends. Daughter of the late Burns and Florence McCorquodale. Pat never complained and always saw the good in any situation good or bad. She was an excellent teacher who chose to stay at home and raise her 2 daughters, which she did so well, a very wise lady and they followed by example.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10:30 am. with Pastor Jason Snelgrove officiating.  Interment North Embro Cemetery following the service.  Donations in Pat’s honour to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 1100 Dearness Drive, London, Ont.
