Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, on Monday, December 16, 2019, Robert (Bob) Malpass of London in his 89th year. Bob was born in Mossley, Ontario on May 21, 1931. Predeceased by his best friend and beloved wife of 62 years, Eileen Malpass (June 2019). Loving father of Jeff and Debbie Malpass and the late Jamie Malpass (September 2018). Loved by his daughter-in-law Claudia Malpass. Proud grandfather of Tory, Becca and Aidan. Dear brother of Beth Collins and predeceased by brother Max (1981). Bob was the Administrator of the Town of Westminster upon his retirement from municipal administration. He was a life-long member of the United Church of Canada and an avid lawn bowler. Bob was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a past Master of St. Paul’s Lodge #107 in Lambeth. He was also an active member of the Mocha Shrine and its Consistory Club. Bob was highly respected in the community for his professionalism, tireless work ethic, and calm demeanour. He was a true gentleman.
Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth (519) 652-2020 on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. The Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Lambeth United Church 4268 Colonel Talbot Road, London, Ontario N6P 1A2, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 485 Windermere Road, London, ON N5X 2T1 or the Lambeth United Church 4268 Colonel Talbot Road, London, Ont N6P 1A2 gratefully acknowledged.
