Bill was a friend of mine for many years. These pictures were from last month the last time Bill cleaned the church (New Hope) parking lot on a Saturday afternoon. Bill took so much pride in making sure the church was always ready for Sunday. Many times Bill would stop and visit with me always taking an interest in what was of interest to me. I will always remember Bill's caring nature and his kindness to me personally.

Sincerest condolences to the Gilders family, extended family and staff. knew 'Willy' for about 30 years, was the hardest working man I ever met. Had a smile that would light up the trucking yard . Always positive, calm and a seemingly endless amount of energy, He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a life time ago that I met Bill as a child of the late Keith and Marjorie Connolly. Trucking definitely is what brought them together years ago. So glad he got to do what made him happy all his years. Bill, my dad and Uncle Allen will definitely be catching up with all their yesteryears storytelling just a flying. Take care all. Michele Adair

My sincere condolences to Kate and family on Bill's passing. Bill delivered my patio stone products for my company Dial A Mix Cocrete Service throughout Southern Ontario for many years. He founded a quality company and always had a steady hand and a calm freindly manner. He was pleasant to deal with was true to his word and worked long hours to look after his customers. There is a saying to truly know a person is to walk a mile in their shoes. With Bill to truly know him would be to travel some miles in his trucks. He was kind, humorous, and well liked by many. May the family find solace in the memories he has left behind.
Sincerely, Gord Shuttleworth

When I was the announcer at Nilestown and Delaware (part time) back in the 70s Bill was a good hard driver. I nicknamed him the Wolf Man because he reminded me of the real Wolf Man. He was always good for a laugh and he will be missed by many.

Bill brought Timmy's home to watch a Saturday morning movie with Kate until the guys got to work in the shop. Bill left doing what he loved to do, where he loved to be I will miss seeing him in his overalls roaming around the shop and trucks in his coveralls with his sidekick Bandito (shepherd) with his frisbie always at his side. To use a favorite quote of his to remember him by.... 'Very Gooooood'.
