Mina finished high school at Alma College and took a position with Thomas, Hamilton and Weber Insurance Co. where she met Hugh. They spent the first two years of their marriage on the Crinklaw farm at the corner of White Oaks Rd, and Dingman Dr. Moving to their new home in 1952, they raised their 4 kids on Marianna Dr. in Lambeth. Mina was an integral part of Hugh Adam Insurance. Mom and Dad loved to travel, enjoyed their winters in Florida and summers on Lake Memesagamesing. They had fun wherever they went with their many friends.
Mom was a long-time member of Lambeth United Church, where she spent many years in the choir. She also was a member of the Wilamar Trio who sang at many local events in the 1970’s. Mom’s love of music was the one thing dementia could not take away. Her cheerful spirit brought joy to all she met.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Ashwood Manor and Dearness Home for their loving care of our Mom during her final 5 years. She was happy in both places. Mom passed away in the caring hands of the wonderful doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital.
If you’d like to make a donation in Mina’s memory, the family would appreciate you direct it to the Alzheimer’s Society, London- Middlesex, 435 Windermere Rd., London, ON, N5X 2T1.
Because of covid19 there will be no funeral. The family will celebrate Mom’s life at a future date. McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth 519-652-2020 in care of arrangements. On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
