Dirk de Jong

Peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 Dirk de Jong of London and formerly of  Oshawa at the age of 88 years.  Beloved husband for 65 years of Wytske de Jong of London. Cherished father of Bertram de Jong and Norma Hammond of Ottawa and her daughter Leila and Irene and Takehiro Ishihara of London.  Proud grandfather of Nikolas, Marika, Aliesha and Emily Ishihara.  Predeceased by his parents Gerben and Wietske de Jong and his brothers Gerben and Hylke de Jong.

A private celebration of Dirk’s life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, London 519-652-2020 on Saturday, June 20, 2020.  Cremation with interment Woodland Cemetery at a later date.  Donations to the Parkinson Society, 4500 Blakie Rd #117, London, ON N6L 1G5 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
