Obituary of Ken Leatherland
Kenneth Leatherland
Peacefully at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Monday, October 25, 2021, with his loving family by his side, Ken Leatherland of Strathroy and formerly of Mt. Brydges at the age of 82 years. Loving father of Bernie (Patti) and Scott (Sherri). Cherished partner of Joan Parlee and her children Chris Parlee (Tammy) and Bernadette Parlee. Survived by dear brother Ron and sister Carolyn and predeceased by his siblings Sheila, Margaret, Claudine, Molly, Jeff, Jimmy, Johnny and Alex. Missed by Maxine Leatherland and many friends.
Ken lived a full life and worked for 40 years at Kellogg's. He enjoyed the family cottage in Parry Sound. His farm in Mt. Brydges was a god send during his retirement because he always needed to be doing something. Ken loved to restore cars, tend to his garden, and fix things around the house. Affectionately known as "The Inspector", Ken spent many hands-on hours teaching Bernie and Scottie how to repair anything from the house to cars. His life-long motto was, "You want it, you work for it." They learned well and live by that motto as well. He loved spending the cold seasons in Florida wtih Joan.
