Robert Douglas (Bob) Horne

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness the Horne family announces the passing of their beloved father and Grampy, Robert Douglas Horne (Bob) on Saturday, May 7^th, 2022, in his 85^th year. Predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Agnes. Brothers, Fredrick and William. Former wives, Donna Horne and Patricia Redman. Son, William (Bill), Grandson, William (Billy), as well as his other several K9 companions including Annabelle. 

Bob was a loving husband to Donna Lavier. He will be sadly missed by his adoring daughters, Belinda, Rebecca (Gareth) & Brenda. Missed by his stepchildren, Bobby (Sue), Larry, Shean, Patti (Ron), Jimmy (Lori), Lonnie (Janet).  Grampy was a loving grandfather to Rachel (Ryan), Jen (Basil), Kate, Emerson, Nikki (AJ), Carlie, Keisha, Bobby (Jenny), Justin (Ciara), Chris (Judy), Lee, Shean Jr, Ashleigh, Samantha (Andrew), Madison (Tanner), Noah (Brittney), Scarlett, Hannah and Hailey. Also, a loving Grampy to 12 Great Grandchildren. Bob spent many years as a stock car driver at Delaware and Nilestown. He was a dedicated maintenance worker at the St. Thomas Ford Assembly Plant for 35 years. Bob did not miss an opportunity to meet up at Tim Hortons in Lambeth to have a coffee with his buddies. Bob was everyone’s father, grandfather and friend. He was so compassionate, kind-hearted and an inspiration to everyone he met. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, London, ON N6P 1L1, Friday, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Woodland Cemetery.  A Celebration of Bob’s life will follow.  Donations to Salvation Army, 371 King Street, London, Ontario N6B 1S4 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca  Our very sincere gratitude to all the staff at LHSC for the care of Bob.  Face masks or coverings are mandatory.
