Obituary of Paul Alexander Hugh Barnes

Paul Barnes

Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, where he wanted to be, surrounded by his wife Kate and daughters Emma and Charlotte, Paul passed away at the age of 47 years. He was a loving, kind and funny man who cherished his wife of 20 years and children.  Above all else Paul loved his girls and felt immense pride in them. Loving son of the late Paul Barnes (2001) and Kate and Dave McGrath.  Wonderful son-in-law of Jim and Mary Elliott and a friend and brother-in-law of Anne Elliott and John Elliott.  He’ll be missed dearly by his Aunts Jean Lewis, Terry Allen, Margie MacIsaac and Jean Johnson. 

Paul said many times the cruelest thing about dying young was missing out ...Family dinners, Christmas morning at the farm, playing video games, board games and most of all what the future held for his daughters.

At Paul’s request there will be no visitation.  A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharnclife Road South, London, Ontario (519) 652-2020 on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation has taken place.  Donations to VON, 175 S.
