Obituary of Betty Ethel Read

Read, Betty (Lockhart) (nee: Harding)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 4, 2023.  Beloved mother of (Leah) (predeceased 2017) (Richard) Sabourin of Fredericton, New Brunswick; Fay (Mark) Ewing of Pickens, South Carolina; and Monica (Tom) Wood of London, Ontario.  She was a loving and proud Grama to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. 

Betty was born in Tabusintac, New Brunswick in 1934.  She had a long career in driving bus for Murphy Bus Lines and the London Transit Commission.  Betty enjoyed being in nature and her daily walks in the Old South neighbourhood she called home for many years.  She was a diehard fan of the Toronto Bluejays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Cremation has taken place.
