Obituary of Mark Steven Blanchard

Mark Blanchard

Peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, Mark Steven Blanchard of London and formerly of Lambeth at the age of 65 years.  Cherished son of the late Don (2004) and Marlene (2018) Blanchard.  Loving brother of Rebecca and Jamie Cook.  Mark was an avid Nascar, Open Wheel, and I.S.M.A. fan.                                                           

At Mark’s request, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service.  A graveside service will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario N6H 1G2 at 11:00 a.m.  A Celebration of Mark’s life will follow at Backdrafts, 1101 Jalna Blvd., London, Ontario N6E 3B3 from noon to 3 pm.  Please contact blanchard.r@rogers.com to rsvp.  Donations to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation, 189 Elm St, St Thomas, ON N5R 5C4 gratefully acknowledged.  Thank to Charlie McCann, Art, and Doug Currie for all the great racing memories.  “See you on the rebound.”
