McPherson, Robert “Bruce”

Of London, passed away on Tuesday November 21^st, 2023 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital peacefully at the age of 69. Beloved husband for over 39 years of the late Cathy (Bowering) McPherson (2015). Loved father of Dan McPherson of Glanworth and Amy and her husband Ernie Santagapita of London and was predeceased by his son Don (2016). Proud “Papa” of Peyton and Dylan and is sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in- laws and many friends. Bruce was born July 20^th, 1954 in London. He is predeceased by his parents the late Don and Marion (Fletcher) McPherson, his sister late Barb McPherson and by Cathy’s parents the late Gerald and Dorothy Bowering. Bruce farmed his entire life and in earlier years he played hockey in Belmont and baseball in Glanworth. Bruce always liked to tell stories and spend time with family and friends.   The last few years he enjoyed spending more time in Long Point and the summers with his grandkids.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 501, Lambeth, Friday, December 1^st, 2023 where family will host an open house from 1:00 p.m. til 6:00 p.m.  A private family service was held and interment followed at the White Oak Cemetery. Donations can be made to Child Can in memory of Bruce. McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, (519 652 2020) entrusted with the arrangements.
