Obituary of Mary Shafer

Shafer- Mary Jean (Johnstone) of London passed away at her late residence on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 96. Dearly loved wife of the late Roy J. Shafer and loved mother of Fred of London. Mary was born April 13, 1927 in Chatham the daughter of the late William and Georgina (Park) Johnstone. She is also predeceased by her sister Shirley. Mary was a retired pharmacist and worked at Greenhills pharmacy in Lambeth.

Funeral service will be held at St. Annes Byron Anglican Church, 1344 Commissioners Rd W., London on Monday January 8, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Private interment in St. Anthony Cemetery in Chatham. Visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Donations to St. Annes in Byron, Holy Trinity Church in Chatham or to the Humane Society. Fred wishes to thank the staff at Extendicare Home on Waterloo St for their care and compassion in looking after his loving mother.
