Obituary of Janet Devlin

Devlin- Janet, Frances (nee Brown) April 10, 1939-September 22, 2024.

Janet passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

She is survived by her children Robin (Damian), Harry (Linda), Lorna (Steve) and her sister Marie. She is predeceased by her mom Jane, her two brothers David & Bruce, her sister-in-law Sandra and her brother-in-law Denny. She will be missed by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Janet finished high school in Toronto with a specialty Secretarial/Bookkeeping Diploma.  This led to working in Chicago for a brief time then Fort William with the Department of Highways. Most of her career was spent at the order desk or in accounts receivable for Alcan Building Products and then Gentek Building Products. She was hardworking and very efficient.

Janet lived in the greater Toronto area most of her life until she moved to London, Ontario where she lived for over 20 years. Janet loved reading, watching John Wayne movies, going to bingo, attending live auctions and over the years went to many professional ice shows and live theatre performances. She has a great sense of humour. She loved a good outing, especially with her mom and her sister and they would always enjoy a good laugh.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the staff of Pine Grove wing at the Dearness Home for taking such great care of Janet for over 6 years.
