Obituary of Maxine Jean Gregory
Gregory, Maxine (née Learn)
January 4, 1932 - March 14, 2022
Surrounded by the love of her family, Maxine passed away at the Village of Glendale Crossing. Beloved wife for 50 years of the late George Gregory (2004). Loving mother of Wayne and Charlotte of London, Brian and Sara of Texas, and Janice Gregory and Murray Sholdice of London. Proud Nana of Stéphane (Connie), Alex, Samantha, Nicholas (Alynda), Jackson, Matthew, William and Benjamin and great-grandma to Gwendolyn. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Ken and Betty Drury and their family; Anne, Michelle and Steve. Predeceased by her adored parents Morton and Annie Learn, sister-in-law Marion Drury and brother-in-law Earle Gregory.
Maxine’s life was filled with family, music and fun. Maxine's passion was her love of music and this was demonstrated with earning her University of Western Ontario music degree and her 40 plus years dedicated to teaching piano to her lovely students in the Caradoc township and London areas. Maxine was a church organist for many years, enjoyed playing at many weddings but she had the most joy just playing the oldies on the piano with her children singing beside her at the farm. She had a life well lived with such great friends whether it was the many years playing bridge, couples club, going to dances or travelling with them. One of Maxine’s favourite travel destinations was Scotland where her Ferguson family originated.
Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, London 519-652-2020 on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1-2 pm where the celebration of Maxine’s life will follow at 2:00 pm.
