Obituary of Gerry McAuley
McAuley-Gerald “Gerry” of London passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy “Dot” (Balser) McAuley and loved father of John (Bernie) McAuley of Burlington, Don (Maggie) McAuley of Cairns, Australia, Paul (Kim) McAuley of Odessa, Steve (Marg) McAuley of Denfield and Ruth Ann (Mark)Busscher of Hillier. He was a very proud grandfather and great grandfather and was a great friend of Hughie Mitchell. He was born May 22,1930 in Moncton, New Brunswick, the son of the late Leonard and Orpah (Fullerton) McAuley and was predeceased by his brother Eakin McAuley. Gerry was a retired high school teacher and was also a driver for Robert Q and was formerly a Master driving education instructor. He was a member of Summerside Community Church.
Resting at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London where visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20 from 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Summerside Community Church 1447 Commissioners Rd E., London on Thursday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by a luncheon.
