Obituary of Bruce Manning

Manning- Bruce Sydney of Lambeth passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at Parkwood Institute - Palliative Care Unit, on Thursday August 8, 2024, at the age of 99. Dearly loved husband of 70 years of the late Marjorie (Laird) Manning (2022). Loved father of Marie and Mike Black, late Paul Manning (2021), Janice Manning and Mark and Linda Manning. Proud grandpa of Andrea and Kyle Wentzel, Darrell and Tara Black, Jared and Kenzie Black, Emily and Kyle Van Patter, Dayna and Ian Morellato and his six great-grandchildren.  Dear brother of Oliver Manning and Rikie Nooyen. Bruce is predeceased by brothers Keith and John and by sisters Marilyn and Joan. He is the brother-in-law of Dorothy Williams and is lovingly survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bruce was born May 1, 1925, at Mapledene Farm in Forest, ON the son of the late William and Elsie (Todd) Manning. He was a retired teacher, having taught at Lambton County, Middlesex County and the London Board. Bruce and Marjorie were faithful members of the Lambeth United Church where Bruce was on numerous committees and volunteered regularly with Marjorie.

Family and Friends may visit at the McFarlane and Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London, (519 652 2020) on Sunday, August 11, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Lambeth United Church 4268 Col Talbot Rd, London on Monday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. Followed by a luncheon. A private family burial to follow later in the day. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care Unit gratefully acknowledged.
